Just saying hello
« on: May 15, 2010, 08:28:03 PM »
Hello,
Just joined the D2Au. I have Td5 classic and goes very well, a few things done no egr, stage one tune, Td5 alive boost box up to 18psi lots of other things in the near furture I have made a water to air laminova intercooler that fits in the manifold........
at  the stage of pressure testing then fitting have everything but time to finish it always seem to be doing something else.
Sorry to go a bit, I might need a bit of help with the intercooler as have to move the air outlet to ponit up so the air goes straight over the engine into the maniflod and have to mount the actuator do not want weld on it but there should be much less lag. really need a dead turbo the play with.
Ian

Hi Ian, welcome.  Sounds like you're working on some interesting stuff, where are you from?

Re the dead turbo, I think one of the members might have one, but not sure.  Will send them an email and find out for you.
Kind Regards, Will Church

Hello Will,
Many thanks for your reply and the offer of help.
I am living in Perth been here a few years now. I have been trying to sort out the intercooler for a little while now. just do not have the time for it. but will make time in the next few weeks,  a dead turbo would be great as I can Play a little with it, have TIG machine at work as this would save lots of time on the fitting everything will just bolt on.busy this week...............again.
I have some pictures of the building of it some where, have to figure how to post them later.
Ian

Heeyyyyy....Ian!
How are you bud, good to see you on d2au.com

Will (and others), this guy is tops!  ;)
He's a fellow AULRO-ian and has only just recently done some awesome welding work, fabricating a rear bar for my own D2.
Those familiar with AULRO may already have seen it.
In best forum manners, I won't link, but have a search over there....or on my own blog (see sig).

Welcome Ian.

Cheers all.
