Anyone else interested...?
« on: May 08, 2009, 10:56:44 AM »
Hi all, as I am starting to get pretty interested in Geocaching (again), I wondered if anyone else is into it, or looking to get into it?  If you're not sure what I'm talking about, have a look at www.geocaching.com and see for yourself.
Kind Regards, Will Church

Hello again Will,

The site link appears to be all based in the USA, are there any geocaching groups in Australia that you know of.

I would be interested in obtaining more info. if there was a local  cache group or organisation.

regards

Ross

Thanks Kieren.  The US site is the master site so to speak, where the central data is held, and the cache finds etc are registered.  As Kieren said, the Australian site is more specific to the area, but is a lot more rudimentary overall.

Yer we just started recently it has been fun.

Its great for finding cool places that are off the usual tourist to be seen list.

We found a second WW2 bunker in Mallacoota that most of the locals didn't even know existed

For others curious to see how many caches are about http://www.geocaching.com/map/default.aspx
