Hi Grasshopper,

You are the only Aussie I know of with the TT rear diff! How do you find it performs, especially with the ETC?
Cheers

Hi Grasshopper (why grasshopper?  :? )

Any pics of your truck?

How do you like the tough dogs?  Do you know the part # for them?

I have been thinking of using them (but the adjustable variety) when I do the 2" lift as they seem to be a bit longer lasting than the Rancho's.

Would be very interested to hear your thoughts on the TT, as I am considering them as an option myself. As Slunnie said, your the only TT user in captivity in Aus. I take it you don't have a CDL?

Cheers,
Jon

G'Day Slunnie,

I originally had the TT in my 95 D1 tdi Disco and found it to be a worthwhile addition in both bush & sand work, and as living within a stones throw of Stockton Beach and a fairly keen surfer found it to work fairly well in D1.

However not being used to a vehicle with ETC and an auto at that ,  it has been more difficult to guage as to the overall performance, as I fitted it from old D1 into D2 before I even took D2 offroad.  I suppose it would have to help ETC in its job though.

Just need some decent tyres now as I miss Wrangler MTR's on D1

First up Adam Grasshopper is a nickname given to me for my long skinny legs and as a relatively newcomer to websites I do have a couple of recent pics of my D2 but couldnt see where to post pic of it.

Have had Tough Dogs on old D1 and seemed to do the job however pulled the rear apart on trips to Lithgow and Barrington Tops but did have the rear sway bar disconected and just ran out of shock travel.

A good mate of mine owns the Opposite Lock Store in Newcastle and fitted me out with all my gear, but they didnt make an adjustable set of Tough Dogs for the D2 at time of fitting. As far as part numbers go you could call him on 0249676787  (ask for Dave) and sure he will provide them for you as I cant find paperwork to look it up

G"Day JonTd5,

I have had great success with TT in old Tdi but as I have replied to Slunnie I have had difficulty in guageing difference between having and not having in a vehicle with ETC as I didnt take D2 offroad untill after it was fitted.  But it still goes better in the bush than a mates lifted Pajero DiD Auto.  I wish I had the guts in the transfer case for CDL
