towing mirrors
« on: March 24, 2008, 05:42:17 PM »
Not a common question but when not off road some use the Disco to to vans etc.

I am sick of the cheap rubber band on to the car mirror type.  Tried Aussie truck mirrors a couple of years back but would not fit due to "double" seal on window.

Who uses what?  I know some use nothing!!!  But for those that do what work best on Series 2 Disco?

Towing Mirrors! I think I have tried them all. I finally gave up and bought a rear view camera system with two cameras, one for the rear of the TD5 and a second one for the rear of the caravan. Both are selectable from the display on the dash giving easy hookup for the caravan and also great vision when towing.

Hi IanP.  Interesting concept, but how do the plods like the idea of not seeing mirrors when you are towing?
Kind Regards, Will Church

Will, the 'plods' don't worry about it. I have better vision with the camera on the back of the caravan than I could with ANY mirror system.
