Introducing another Landy nutter
« on: August 06, 2007, 04:07:50 PM »
 :)Gday All,
Finally getting around to this bit after "discovering" this site a week ago. I was introduced to the Landy world by chance after buying a 1992 200TDI many years ago, paid too much for it but was keen for a change of pace in the motoring world and after a long learning curve became another Landy nutter culminating in my inheritance/purchase ( I put it that way as that was the way it felt at the time) of a 2003 Td5 which I think is the most enjoyable vehicle I have ever owned. A recent trip to Fraser Is. confirmed what I suspected, a superior off roader with a touch of comfort, no, that should be effortless driving in difficult conditions.
I do wonder why this site is underutilised as it is  ---- maybe like me it was unknown and  a lot of D11 owners out there are unaware of it, or have I just been to focused on another site (AULRO).
Anyway, the idea of just a D11 site is sound and I will support it  but the experience of all Landrover owners on other sites adds to the whole inheritance of "why did they do/build/design it like that" which IMHO assists in explaining to non Landy owners why we are like we are ;D Steve

Hi Steve, and welcome to the nut house, hehe.  This site currently has an associated Yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/d2au that has got a fair bit of conversation on it.  However, the plan is to increase the use of THIS site in the near future, as it offers a lot more functionality etc.  Eventually the Yahoo site will be closed to further posts, and will remain a storehouse of information.  So basically, the future is here, even though the present is at least partially on the Yahoo group.
Kind Regards, Will Church
