Roof Racks
« on: June 26, 2006, 12:59:52 PM »
Too much selection on the accessories market on roof racks for my LRD2.
I am considering the Rackmaster from Opposite Lock. Low profile, neat attachments but expensive.
Does anybody have any experience with Rackmaster or should I go Rhino Rack cross bars and add a mesh or alloy rack later?
Any comments on noise, fuel efficency, etc would be appreciated.
Thanks

Bobby, welcome to the Forum.

Depending on your requirements and budget, also have a look at Tradesman racks, in Bayswater.  I've seen their products, and they seem really good quality...
Kind Regards, Will Church

Just bought an Oztent which is 2.1 meters long. Tossing up between a permanent roof rack a la Rackmaster or use 3 Rhino Bars and secure the tent to those, or even purchase an add on mesh tray to the Rhino Racks and put the tent in that.

Any thoughts from the entrepid camper/travellers out there please?

Thanks,

Bobbyh
