Hi All
I would like to fit a bull bar winch combo  to the Disco which one is the best ARB,TGM or ECB looked at the ARB Sahara Bar but it seems to sit out the frount to far and should we upgrade the supension for the extra weight your opions would be appriecated.

Too start with, whatever combo you go with you will need to upgrade your suspension to cope with the extra weight. How you do it depends on what you plan to do with it in the future. If you want to fit big off-road wheels than go for a 2" lift, if not then just an upgrade in the springrate will do the job.
If you are not a "do-it-yourself" type person then the ARB OME springs & shocks are the way to go and what most people have but there are many makes of springs & shocks which are good.

What type of bar  :P    This is all up to taste. Personally I like the ARB bar especially on the new Disco's. The TJM does give you a bit more approach angle but it is now very minamal difference. Go for what you like and what sort of deal you can get.

Hi Doug,

No easy answer on which is best. Most folks have either the ARB or TJM bars.
Most people who actually offroad would recommend the steel bars rather than the alloy ones because of strength.

The TJM bar doesn't stick out as much as the ARB, which is why I went the TJM bar. The winch will require an additional mounting tray -about $200 . The tray mounts to the chassis, so the winch is anchored  to the chassis. On the ARB bar, the winch sits in the bar.....   up to you which you prefer.
From what I've seen and heard, the ARB offers more room to get your hands in and use the winch controls....but that is why it sticks out further. The winch is a tighter fit on the TJM.
